Obituary of Jean Mills

Peacefully at Whisperwood Villa, Charlottetown on Sunday, January 15, 2023 the death occurred of Jean A. Mills (Gillespie), formerly of Charlottetown and Springbrook, age 100 years.  

Loving mother of Beverly Mills-Stetson, Arlene Mills-Duncan and Deryck Mills (Donna). Cherished grandmother of Michael (Cate), Kathleen, Jennifer, Nicole (Jeffery), Danielle and Kristopher. Great-grandmother of Jessica, Autumn, Tyla, Emma, Mya and Sarah. Jean is the last surviving member of the Gillespie family and will be missed by numerous friends and family members. Predeceased by her parents Edgar and Florence Gillespie, her husband Edward Mills, her infant daughter Corrine, grandson David and her siblings Ralph, Mary, Betty, Eric, June and Hugh. Jean is also predeceased by her son-in-law Cop Macdonald.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date. No public visiting hours will be held. Interment will take place later at People’s Cemetery, Charlottetown.
