Obituary of Alex MacIsaac

Daniel Alexander “Alex” MacIsaac, a resident of The Mount Continuing Care Community, whose home was in Earnscliffe, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, age 92 years.

Alex is lovingly remembered by his sister Martha MacIsaac and brother Dr. Cyril MacIsaac, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.  Predeceased by his parents Dan and Minnie (MacDonald) MacIsaac, siblings Leo (Mary), Eunice Hughes (Ray), Mary Sullivan (Tom), Sr. Anita MacIsaac CND, twin brother Charles (Rita); sisters-in-law Patricia (Wynne), Roberta (Rice) and brother-in-law George MacIsaac.

Alex was a farmer all his life and was very content in his chosen career.  He also enjoyed visits from extended family, friends and neighbours.  He recently talked about all the changes he had experienced over his life and recounted that the best change of all was when electricity came to rural PEI.  He was known for his wit and a twinkle in his eye, which came out as he recounted stories of days gone or when taking a large bid in a game of auction with little in his hand to go on.  His kindness and generosity endeared him to his family.  Alex was a lifelong, faithful member of St. Joachim’s Parish, Vernon River and will be missed by many in his community as well.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.  Due to current restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held. No public visiting hours will be held.  Interment will take place at St. Joachim’s Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joachim’s Parish Cemetery.
