Obituary of Roy Noel Doiron
Peacefully with his daughter Jackie and with the support of his family by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, December 7, 2024 the death occurred of Roy Noel Doiron of Argyle Shore, age 80 years. Father of Jackie Doiron-Murphy (Guy Girouard) and proud Oppie of Luke Gallant (Rachel), Lindsey Murphy (Courtice) and Drew and Brennan Murphy. Roy will be missed by his siblings Mona, Louis (Ruth) and Eddie (Linda) and brother-in-law Paul Gallant. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Adolphe and Emma (Pineau) Doiron, his son Troy Doiron; his twin in infancy Eileen and his other siblings Edwin, Arthur (Millie), Dr. J. A. Doiron (Bernice), Peter (Leona), Omer (Pearl), Bernice Gallant, Claire Blanchard (Hubert) and Eleanor Gallant (Albert). Roy is also predeceased by his brother-in-law Donnie Murray. Roy was born and grew up in Charlottetown. He spent his life as a painter and decorator for over 60 years. He had a passion for country music and later on in life became a gospel singer and songwriter. Roy's family would like to express their deepest gratitude and thanks to the Emergency Dept. and staff of Unit 2 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, to Nadine and Kevin MacIsaac - his caregivers for 3 years; to our family Ed and Linda Doiron, Mona Murray, Lou and Ruth Doiron and Arlene Doiron (Jackie’s mother) for their care and dedication shown to Jackie and our Roy. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday December 9, 2024 at 10:30 am. All are welcome to attend. No visiting hours by personal request. Memorial donations may be made online to Make a Wish Foundation.
