I met Lester at the North End AA group. His hopefulness was always so refreshing and inspiring. He often talked about going home to enjoy a massive meal (usually steak) and spending time with his grand-doggo, Cosmo. He always talked about his love for life. Les would be celebrating his anniversary sometime soon - six years, if I’m not mistaken. He got sober 6 months or so before me. Thank god he did. While I know I will miss seeing him around, I know that any time I am in the North End AA room, he will be there in spirit and his genuine light will live on through those whose lives he touched.
So long for now, Les. May we meet again.
Heartfelt condolences to his friends and family, near and far. He was one in a million, and he will never be forgotten.
