Obituary of Alfie Cudmore

Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 the death occurred of Alfred “Alfie” Jerome Cudmore of Appin Rd, age 70 years.  

Alfie will be missed by siblings Lynda Gallant (Ray), Eleanor Gallant (Cody), Roma Bruce (Lyle) and Clifford (Ann). Brother-in-law of Theresa Cudmore, Elaine Hill and Marie Kelly. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary (Smith) Cudmore and siblings Lorne, Helen Johnson (George), Phyllis Keoughan, Bernice McQuillan (Raymond), Leo, Brendon, Bobby, Annie McCardle (Jimmy), Frankie (Sue) and infant brother Raymond. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Hillsboro Funeral Home. Private family visitation will be held.  Interment will take place at St. Anne’s Parish Cemetery, Emyvale. 

Memorial donations may be made online to Pat and the Elephant and the Dialysis unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Alfie’s family would like to acknowledge the staff members of Island EMS, Pat and the Elephant, Queens County Home Care, the staff and physicians of the Emergency Dept of the QEH and family Dr. Mitchell Stewart. Also a sincere thanks to Dr. Jones Chaudhary, Dr. Michael and staff of the QEH Dialysis Unit for their care and compassion.
