Leslie, Norman, Gregory, & Brent, My husband Keith & I were deeply saddened to learn of your mother's passing. I taught with Martha for many years at Prince Street School. She had all the qualities you would look for in an excellent teacher. She was well respected & a good friend. She was so very proud of you "her boys'. As you grew up, married, & have families of your own, she loved having the larger family to enjoy. You were all so very special to her. We were sorry we were unable to attend the visiting hours but I was at her funeral. It was a lovely service. We extend our deepest condolences to you & your families. May the wonderful memories you have to treasure help you through this difficult time. Our thoughts are with you. Keith & Janet Altass

I remember Martha as a dear and treasured friend. We taught school together at Prince Street school for many years. We also attended some evening and summer courses together at UPEI. I have so many treasured memories of Martha and her boys and my girls being together. Martha was always happy to share a visit and a very hot cup of tea. Love Rhoda MacKinnon

Hello to all Martha’s family.. my deepest sympathy over the loss of your sweet Mom.. Martha was my daughter Martha’s favourite teacher..
