Obituary of Gail Charman

Patricia “Gail” Charman passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the age of 80 years. Loving mother of Robert Guzzo (Jenn Davis), Sharon Koughan (Charles), Amy MacLean (Tom MacDonald) and Laura Vail (Jeff Smith). Cherished grandmother of Bobi-Gayle Guzzo, Mikayla Guzzo and Liam Guzzo; Jordan, Riley, Kailey, MacKenzie and Declan Koughan; Raelin and Payton MacLean; Isaiah and Bradley Vail. Great-grandmother of Havannah, Sage, Elena, Layne and Ruby. Also remembered by Ella, Aaron, Noah MacDonald and Sadie Smith. Predeceased by her parents Edgar and Wanda (Riley) Charman and brother Ron Charman. Gail was born in Montreal on January 2nd, 1942 to Edgar and Wanda Charman. Gail was a lover of animals, especially cats and she loved to spend time walking, sometimes twice a day. She also loved socializing with her dearest friends. She was an avid knitter and often donated her work to local organizations in need. Gail believed in the importance of volunteering and supporting her community and she did so by being part of the LOVE program at a local school and often volunteering for the Canadian Cancer Society. Most of all she cherished any time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the loves of her life. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 4-7 pm. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital or the PEI Humane Society.
