Obituary of Bill Murphy

Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Garden Home, Charlottetown on Sunday, October 30, 2022 the death occurred of William “Bill” Bernard Murphy, formerly of Stratford, age 90 years.  

Loving father of daughters; Jacinta Stewart (Raymond) and Bodine DeWitt.  Cherished grandfather of Jeremy Stewart (Anna-Marie) and Stephanie DeWitt (Matthew Arsenault).  Great-grandfather to Madison, Isabella, Hannah, Carolina and Anthony “Tony”.  Brother of George, Elsie Arsenault and Geraldine Murphy.  Bill will be missed by his special friend Edna MacInnis. Predeceased by parents William Sr. “Bill” and Margaret (Rogers) Murphy, his beloved wife Dorothy Murphy (Garnhum), siblings Wyman Murphy, Eleanor Beckstead, Patricia “Pat” Watson and also by his grandson Jeffrey Raymond William Stewart and a great-granddaughter. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 10:30 am. 

Interment will take place at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
