Obituary of Reta Jean McGowan

Peacefully at the Mount Continuing Care Community, Charlottetown on Saturday, August 27, 2022 of Reta Jean McGowan (McInnis) formerly of Earnscliffe, age 100 years. Survived by her daughter-in-law Lorna Challis, grand-daughter Allison Manchester and great-grandchildren Jenson and Parker Manchester. Survived by the remaining McGowan family and several nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law of Leah McInnis. Predeceased by her husband John, son Kevin, parents Peter and Lucy McInnis and siblings Marie, Ann, Florence, Lucinda “Dickie”, Ron, Norbert “Jim”, Murtagh and Irene. Also predeceased by niece Faye (Quinn) Peterson and her daughters Heather and Rosalie and nephew Clayton Martin. A graveside service will be held on Thursday September 1, 2022 at 2 pm at St. Joachim’s Church Cemetery, Vernon River. No visiting hours by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Reta’s family would like to express their thanks to all the staff of the Mount Continuing Care Community for the kindness and care shown to Reta.
