When I tell you that back in the day this lady was a stunner I am not exaggerating but moreover she was one heck of a lady! One of the women I remember saying I wanted to be like when I grew up. She gave me my first opportunity right out of high school. 18 years old and a full time job in Moncton thanks to my Aunt Deb. When she would come to town to check in on our store The Book Mart, she’d always take me shopping, first for clothes and then for groceries because “You know Laura Jo, priorities” lol. Then we would go for dinner and dancing and it would be a late night. I’d drag myself into the store the next morning looking like absolute death and she would already be there working looking fresh as a daisy, laughing her big wonderful laugh and smiling from ear to ear.
I have so many incredible memories of this amazing lady, and I will miss you forever Aunt Deb. Rest Easy and give Dad a hug from all of us.
