McCluskey Family,
I am so sorry to just hear about Jim’s passing. I will always remember him as my first boss at the bakery. Jim always had a smile and a kind word. He probably knew how many squares I ate out of the freezer but never called me on it….such a caring and kind human. Please accept my belated condolences.

My deepest condolences on the loss of Jimmy. I knew him when I worked at the Garrison Officers' Mess. I always enjoyed having a chat with him, over his Labatt Blue in his chilled, rounded pewter mug. He always spoke fondly of his family members, and was proud to show the photos in his wallet. I enjoyed his cheerful and friendly nature. I'm sure he brought a lot of joy to your lives and that you will miss him immensely. Sending my sympathies to his family, and friends. Rest in peace, Captain McCluskey.

To Janet and family i offer my sincere condolences.
Jimmy and I were childhood friends. We lived along side one and other in the early to late 1950s on Dorchester street. We joined the sea cadets and went to Point Edward Naval Base in 1962 and 1963. We had fun at them camps in Sydney, NS
We both worked at Woolworths in 1966 and 1967 at the bakery under Darly Worth,
And Jimmy and I were both members of the PEIR as officers.
Jimmy was kind person who had a real good sense of humor. I always enjoyed running into Jimmy and catching up on the news. He was very likeable.
May Jimmy rest in peace,

Words cannot express my sense of loss at Jim's passing. I can feel the sadness expressed by his immediate family and all who knew him. He was truly an officer and a gentleman beyond compare. His gentle approach to any person or situations that required his attention was always resolved demonstrating true kindness, compassion and understanding. Jim will not fade in our minds as we move forward. I know he will fall in the ranks with those who have gone before him, and march on forever. I know deep in my heart that Charlie T will be there to welcome Jim to their new glorious home and to the eternal brotherhood. Bless you all. I shall miss you both till I fall into the ranks and join you. With deep affection and love.

I first met Jim when he worked at Woolworth’s as a baker for Darell Worth , my Mom Mary Knox worked the lunch counter as a waitress. Then I joined the PEI Regiment in the late 1960’s where Jim was my GMT drill instructor and as time went on Jim became my RSM. He was always kind , considerate and approachable. It was a pleasure serving with him and wish I would have got to know him and his Family better on a personal level. Deepest sympathies to all and BIG HUGS TO ALL !! SSM ( Retired ) Paul Knox

People used to mix Jim and my Dad up all the time years ago, it was a running gag with some of us and was always good for some confusion and laughter. He was a mentor, leader and a friend, he will be missed dearly and remembered very fondly. Condolences to all.
