Obituary of Vincent Daniel Baird

Peacefully at home on the 7^th of June 2022, in the presence of his loving wife of 61 years, Catherine “Kay” (Valley) and his surviving children, Vincent Daniel Baird of Webster’s Corner, aged 86 years passed. 

 

Vincent was a beloved husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Left to cherish his memory and legacy are his children Danny (Karen), Helena, wife of his late son Jackie, Robbie (Jacqueline), Vincent (Ronita), Patti Gill (Michael), Michael (Lisa) and daughter-in-law Michelle Baird (Frank Abbott).  Vincent’s children gave him 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  Vincent leaves a hole in the center of his family and the hearts of his extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.  Welcoming him into heaven are Vincent’s parents Tyrell and Cassie (Duffy) Baird, son Jackie, brothers Stephen (Pauline), Rev. Edward Baird, sister Rita Laverty (Elmer), and brothers-in-law John Vandyke, Elmer Laverty, and David Walker. 

 

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus on Saturday, June 11th at 10:30am.  Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 10^th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.  Interment will take place at the parish cemetery.
