Obituary of Paul MacPhail

With his family by his side, Paul passed away peacefully in his 81st year.  He leaves behind his wife Johanna of 53 years, his children Lynn, Clara Richard (Kirby), Robert, Dawn Coakes (David), Johanna Morrissey (David), Paul (Brenda), Carolyn Ferguson (Doug), his 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by his parents Duncan and Doris (Tanton) MacPhail and sister Patsy.

Paul’s passion in life was music. He loved rock ‘n roll, met many great artists, wrote for magazines and published 15 books on the Sun artists of the Rockabilly era. As our Dad would say “Rock On”.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.  Due to current restrictions, there will be a (invitation only) family visitation and funeral service. 

Memorial donations may be made online to the Salvation Army or the Canadian Red Cross.
