Obituary of Gerard Duffy

Peacefully at the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, January 6, 2022 the death occurred of Gerard Duffy of Fort Augustus, age 84 years. 

Beloved husband of 46 years to the late Colleen (McCabe) Duffy. Loving father of Greg, Brian (Paulette), Mary Beth MacDonald (Scott), Brendon (Maggie) and Anne Marie Hennessey (Ronnie). Cherished grandfather of James (Hannah), Barrington, Cynthia, Curtis (Christina), Jordan (Stephanie), Kaleigh, Tyler (Kari), Ashley (Will), Bradley (Jenna), Courtney (Chris), Brieanna, Keeva, Liam, Lal (Hannah), Heidi (JP) and Ella. Great-grandfather of Mason, Sutton, Nina, Blake, Isla, Sawyer, Ryder, Marleigh. Gerard will be missed by his sisters Aggie MacDonald (Syd) and Genny Castiday (John). Brother in law of Anna Duffy. Predeceased by his parents Pat and Irene (Kelly) Duffy, daughter-in-law Cheryl Duffy and brothers Charlie and infant brother Norbert.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.  Due to current restrictions, there will be no public visitation and a private (invitation only) funeral service will be held. 

Interment will take place later at St. Patrick’s Parish Cemetery, Fort Augustus.
