Obituary of Muriel Olive Pitt

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, December 17, 2021 the death occurred of Muriel Olive Pitt of Clyde River, age 90 years. 

Loving mother of Norman Frizzell (Joyce) and Fred Frizzell. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Billy (Christina), Christopher (Raylene) and Steven Frizzell (Cassidy).  Great-grandmother of Nicholas, Geordon, Hailey and Chase Frizzell. Survived by special friends Rachel and Catherine and several nieces and nephews in the UK.

Muriel was born at the University College Hospital in London, England, the daughter of Fred William and Florence (Clarke) Pitt and was evacuated to Prince Edward Island in 1940, to the home of Houghton and Florence Mutch of Earnscliffe.

Predeceased by her sisters Valerie, Audrey, Nina and brother Norman.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.  Due to current restrictions, no visitation or funeral service at this time.

Interment will take place later at Cherry Valley Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter’s Cathedral Building Fund or the Cherry Valley Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Burnside Community Care Center, QEH Emergency Dept, Unit 8 Staff and Fr. David Garrett for the wonderful care and attention shown to Mother during these last years.
