Obituary of Bill Woods

James William "Bill" Woods passed away peacefully at the Whisperwood Villa on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the age of 97 years. Loving husband of Joan (Davies) and father of Helen Anderton, James "Jim" Woods (Donna), Elizabeth Woods (Ross Bye) and Irene Barker (Clive).  Grandfather of Karen, Ted, Sacha, Jamie, Bethany and Zoe. Great-grandfather of Owen, Kaia and Riley.  Predeceased by his son-in-law Paul Anderton, granddaughter Olivia Bye and his sister Diane Whitehead (Harry).  Bill spent 3 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a navigator and as flying officer. Once he was discharged from the Royal Canadian Air Force he worked as an engineer for Bell Canada and later started his own independent recording studio, Hallmark Recording Studio in Toronto followed by an electrical engineering company called J-MAR Electronics Ltd., specializing in sound equipment for professional recording studios. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. Due to current restrictions no visitation or funeral service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
