Obituary of Michael (Jim) James Doty

Peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, February 8, 2021 the death occurred of Michael James “Jim” Doty of Charlottetown, age 84 years. 

 

Beloved husband of Margaret “Peg” Doty (Paynter).  Loving father of Kelley Abrams (Gary), York, PE; Andrea Doty (Andrew Holman), Plymouth, Mass; and Scott Doty (Angel Jasna), Australia.  Cherished grandfather of Kori and Lindsey. Jim will be missed by his sister Helen McLeod, Chicago and brother Pat (Ginny) of Toronto.  Survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Gus and Ethel (Lavin) Doty and siblings Ed, Florence, Margaret, Frank, Vera, Theresa, Mary, Bob, Ethel and 2 in infancy. 

 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.  Due to current restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date. 

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
