Obituary of Garnet Leigh Lowther

Peacefully at home and surrounded by family, September 9, 2020, the death occurred of Garnet Leigh Lowther, of Stratford, age 80 years. Beloved husband, for 55 years, of Lana Lowther (nee Fraser). Garnet will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched, including his brother Dean Lowther (Beryle), sister-in-law Carole Kells (Monty), brother-in-law Alan Fraser (Cordelia). Pre-deceased by his parents Hudson and Irene Lowther, sister Helen MacDonald (Eric), parents-in-law Charles and Marion Fraser and brother-in-law Douglas Fraser. Garnet will be remembered for his career as an electrician and in retirement, for 14 years, as a weekly volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. As a husband, father and grandfather, he will be remembered for always being supportive, his ability to fix or problem solve in any situation, to help with school projects, his easy going nature and warm and friendly sense of humor. A heartfelt thank you to the Home Care-Palliative Care team for their incredible support and guidance as we went through this journey together. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. Due to current restrictions a private family funeral service will be held. Interment will take place at Searletown Cemetery.
