Obituary of Viola Mary Beagan

Peacefully at home the death occurred of Viola Mary Beagan of Johnston’s River on Thursday, April 18, 2019, age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Beagan and loving mother of Adrian Beagan (Anne), Maureen Mason (George), Donna O’Neil (Dan), Paul Beagan and Gerald Beagan. Cherished grandmother of Daniel, Luke (Diana) and Erin O’Neil, Brian Mason and Clancey Beagan. Viola is also survived by her sister Gladys Gallagher and sisters-in-law Ruth and Bernadette Heron. She was predeceased by her parents - John and Mary (nee Mullen) Heron; brothers - Howard, Louis and Ivan Heron and sisters - Margaret Driscoll, Myrtle Pirkola and Pearl McShane. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, from 4-7:00 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held later at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Patrick’s Parish Debt Reduction Fund or Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
