Obituary of June Marie McCarville

Peacefully our dear mother passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the age of 91 in Ottawa. Devoted wife of the late Leo McCarville and loving mother to Wayne (Sandy), Joanne Hepton (Vic), Carol Murray (Mike), David (Lynn), Judy Sullivan, Gary (Caroline), Brian (late Ruby), Kevin, Janice Steeves (Brian). Special Grandma to 18 and Great-Grandma to 20. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Survived by sisters - Anita Hennessy and Eileen Keefe; brother-in-laws - Don Taylor, Bill Gillis; sisters-in-law Rosemarie Miller, Frances Burd and Mary McCarville. Predeceased by parents - Wesley and Mary Miller; sisters - Shirley MacKay (Claude), GloriaTaylor (Ernie) and Norma; brothers - Ralph (Rachel), Gerald (Edna) and Basil (Betty); brothers-in-law Lorne Hennessey, Jim Ayers, Fred Keefe, Bill Burd; Lorne McCarville (Teresa), George McCarville (Doreen), Emmett McCarville (Aggie) and Raymond McCarville (Rita) and sister-in-law - Edna Hagan (Louis). Special thanks to the staff at Thorncliffe Place and the support of her care team in recent months. Mom followed Dad from province to province bringing up their large family but her heart was always in her Island home. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for private visitation. A public funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer at 10:00 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Society. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
