Obituary of Albert Joseph Duffy

Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, March 2, 2019, of Albert Joseph Duffy of Fort Augustus, age 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (nee Boylan) Duffy and loving father of Arlene Kelly (Mike). Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Nicole, Ashlyn and Kristen. Albert is survived by his sister - Gertie Gueth (Les); nephews - Stephen and Billy Gueth and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents - Joseph and Mary Duffy (nee Baird) and brother Jack (in infancy) and sister - Anne (in infancy). Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held later at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Patrick’s Parish Renovations Fund would be appreciated. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
