Obituary of Janet Elizabeth Flack

Janet Elizabeth “Liz” Flack (nee Cutcliffe), age 73, of Cornwall PEI, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, January 19, 2019. Born on November 8, 1945, in Summerside, she was a loving mother to her late son Stan Flack, daughter, Julie (Kerry) McKenna of Charlottetown and son Dennis (Shirley) Flack of Iqaluit, NU. She was a beloved, kind, caring grandmother to Quinten and Ben Flack. She is also survived by siblings - Alger (Elizabeth) Cutcliffe, Donna (Nelson deceased) Livingstone, Lynda (Sheldon deceased) Gardiner; brothers-in-law - Doug Patterson and Max McLean and many dear nieces and nephews. Liz was predeceased by parents - Harold and Janet (nee Nicholson) Cutcliffe and siblings - Eleanor (Paul) Dawson, Gorden (Ruth) Cutcliffe, Byron (Margaret) Cutcliffe, Beatrice Patterson, Lois (Doug) Thompson, Wendell Cutcliffe, Adele McLean and Gerald Cutcliffe. She was a very hard worker, always caring for the needs of others ahead of her own needs. She was very kind and generous. She always had a smile on her face and had a wonderful sense of humour. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at the Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to be held later at the Crapaud Gospel Hall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Provincial Palliative Care Centre would be appreciated. Special thanks to Provincial Palliative Care Centre for their kindness, care and support.
