The CWL will hold a prayer service at 2:15 pm Friday The death occurred at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Monday, November 26, 2018 of Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Power (Beagan) of Charlottetown, age 88 years. Beloved wife of 69 years to James. Mother of Gene (Debbie), Mike (Rodie), David (Chris), Kenny (Carol Ann), Bobby (Aletha), Ann MacKinnon (Alan), Mary MacPhee (Fraser), Gary (Noreen) and Allan. Grandmother of Marcy Gregory (Frank), Derek, Angela (Colin), Rob (Nicole), Ryan, Stephen, Kimberly (David), Jamie (Julianne), Colin, Kaitlyn (Marshall), Darren, Robyn, Alexis, JoEllen MacPhee (Jarret), Jared MacKinnon (Meghan), Kaela Carragher (Scott), Brett MacKinnon, Corey MacPhee (Leanne), Nicole MacGregor (Jeremy), Daniel MacPhee (Jordana), Dylan, Tanner and Rylee. Survived by siblings Elmo Beagan (Margie), Beryl Burke, Peggy Coady-Compton, Maureen McAdams, Eileen and Eleanor Beagan and sister-in-law Joan Beagan. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Everett Owen Beagan and Margaret (MacLeod); sons Eddie and Gordie; grandson Drew; brothers Everett and Emmett “Unk” Beagan, sister Mary Harding and brothers-in-law Lorne Burke, Jim Coady, Jack Harding, Jerry McAdams and Simon Compton. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 2:15 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 30, 2018 at The Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Provincial Palliative Care would be appreciated. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
