Obituary of Douglas Leonard Paquet

Douglas Leonard Paquet passed away in his sleep on October 18th, 2018 at the age of 61. He lived his life on his own terms and is remembered fondly as being a very nice guy. He followed in his father’s footsteps as a flooring installer. He worked in PEI, AB and NB throughout his life. He enjoyed many activities, but loved fishing, horse racing and playing pool the most. He had great fun coaching his son Corey’s hockey team in Riverview, NB for many years. He will be deeply missed by his children Angela and Corey (Jenny Boutilier), Corey’s mother Vanessa (Oulton), grandson Logan, and mother Anita (Phillips), who he helped care for in recent years. He is also survived by siblings Debra (Stephen) Knopp, Charlene (Frank Quinn) and Stephen (Tara Diamond). He was a caring uncle to Jericho, Lukas, Zachary and Jacob Knopp. He will be genuinely missed by numerous family and friends. He is predeceased by his first wife Melodie (Peters), mother of Angela, and his father Elmer Paquet. There will be no wake or funeral by personal request, but there will be a graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. If so desired, donations can be made to the P.E.I.
