Obituary of Rubertus Gerardus Bos

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, September 23, 2018 of Rubertus Gerardus (Robert) Bos of Fort Augustus, age 77 years. Beloved partner and best friend of Shirley Kennedy and loving brother of Elizabeth Halman, Jeannie Schevers, Ben Bos, Gerry Bos, Catherine Halman and Greta Kays. Robert is also survived by sisters-in-law - Ria Bos and Anne Bos; Shirley’s brother Sterling Stewart and Shirley’s children - Ralph, Anne, Debbie, Paul and David (deceased). He was predeceased by parents - Wiebertus and Wietsche (Kranendonk) Bos; brothers - Bastiaan (Bas) and Johannes (John); brothers-in-law - Nicholas Halman, Guy Schevers, Rudolph Halman and Peter Kays; sisters-in-law - Mary Bos, Brenda Bos and Marie Clow. Warmly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Patrick’s Repair Fund would be appreciated. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
