Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Rafuse

The death occurred suddenly at the Dr. John M. Gillis Lodge on December 8, 2017 of Mary Elizabeth Rafuse of Iona. Mary was born September 6, 1941 and was daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Flynn. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Rafuse on February 18, 2009. She was also predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Brian and Patrick Flynn. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her brothers and sisters, Caroline Doyle (Leo, deceased) Aurelie (Tony) Meuillo, Pauline (Bill) McGill, Michael, Bernard, Barry, and Clifford Flynn; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s, Iona on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Michael’s Cemetery Fund. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
