Obituary of James MacDonald

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, October 28, 2017 of James (Jimmy) MacDonald of Charlottetown and formerly of Summerside, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Diane MacDonald (nee McPhee) and loving father of Cindy Thompson (Robbie), Chris (Wendy), Lennie (Meaghan). James will be lovingly remembered by his Grandchildren Megan and Kyle Thompson; Dylan, Cameron, Lucas and Emma MacDonald; Siblings - Alan MacDonald, Gail MacDonald, Bridget Gallant and Lynn Wonnacott (Eric); Sister-in-laws - Kathy MacDonald, Evelyn Paynter (Willie) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents James and Margaret (Lottie) MacDonald; brother - George, sister - Anne and brother-in-law Carl Baglole; sister-in-law Faye (Jones) Carter; sister Mary (Dolly) and brother-in-law Garth Edwards; brother Gary; nephew - Sean MacDonald and nieces - Joy (Paynter) Mill. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Stratford Chapel - Hillsboro Funeral Home, on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Highfield Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Cancer Society, Children’s Wish Foundation or the P.E.I. Lung Association would be appreciated.
