Obituary of Alexander Wendell Kennedy

Wendell Kennedy, age 64, of Charlottetown died July 25, 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Southport, P.E.I., he was the son of Austin and Hazel Kennedy. Wendell was a farm boy and showed cattle with his father. He succeeded his father as President of the Dundas Plowing Match. He also was an employee for public works. A few days before his death he was helping a friend with hay. He is survived by his son David and sister Austina Newsome. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Fitzroy Centre in Charlottetown. A grave side service will be held at Calvin Cemetery in Mermaid on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
