Obituary of Donald William Drake

Passed peacefully at the Dr. John M. Gillis Lodge on Sunday July 23, 2017 of Donald William Drake of Vernon Bridge, age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary “Molly” Drake and loving father of Paul (Vivian), Larry (Karen) and Leslie (Dorothy). Donald will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren - Austin (Amanda), Ian (Amy), Lynn, Nicholas, Jill (Richie), Adam (Jenna), Patrick (Katelyn), Sarah (Darcy); great grandchildren - Annie, Isaiah and Lewis. He was predeceased by his infant daughter - Barbara Diane Drake, parents - Francis and Florence Drake, step-mother Prudence. Sister and brothers - Evelyn, Lorin and Perley. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 2 -4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place at St. Andrew’s United Church, Vernon Bridge on Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the St. Andrew’s United Church would be appreciated. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
