Obituary of Eldon Charles Acorn

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with family by his side on Sunday, July 31st. 2016 of Eldon Charles Acorn of Stratford, aged 79 years. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Gallant) Acorn and loving father of Sandra (Doug) Crabbe, Brenda (Donald) MacLean, Ian Acorn (Heidi Lund). Extra special step-father of Tracy Ramsay MacLeod (Brian), Tammy Ramsay Kelly (Chris), Dawn Ramsay (Regis LeBlanc). Cherished Grampy of Katelyn Crabbe, Tim Crabbe (Marcie Pound), Shawn MacLean (Alica McNally), Sara MacLean, Charlie Acorn, Lexi, Shila and Skyler LeBlanc, Codi lynn, Brooklyn and Emmerson Kelly. Great-grandson Jacob Crabbe. Also left to mourn are sisters-in-law Maud MacNeill and Dolly Acorn. Predeceased by his first wife Marion (nee MacNeill) Acorn and his infant daughter. Brothers John, Lyman, Raymond. Sisters Ella Mae, Belle, Florence. Arrangements entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford. Visiting hours Tuesday August 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday August 3rd with funeral service from Park Royal United Church at 1:30 p.m. Committal to follow at the Old Acorn Dundas Cemetery.
