Obituary of Ivan McGuirk

Surrounded by his family at Whisperwood Villa on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 of Ivan McGuirk, formerly from Lake Verde in his 81st year. Survived by his two sons - Henry and Michael, brothers - Gordon (Mary) and John (Florence); sisters - Gladys Smith (John) and Shirley McManus and numerous nieces and nephews. Ivan was predeceased by his sisters - Tena, Isabel, Bertha, Pearl, Doris, Eileen and Rosemary and brothers - Gerald, Clifford, Ralph, Elmer and Eric. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave. Stratford for visitation Friday, July 22, 2016 from 5-8 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
