Obituary of Linus Vincent Gallant

Passed peacefully with family and friends by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Friday, October 23, 2015 of Linus V. Gallant of Stratford, age 77 years. Beloved father of Vince, Michelle (Dave MacKinnon), Greg (Sam) and Jeff. Linus will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren - Matthew Harvey (Christie), Brittany Harvey (Greg), Vanessa MacKinnon (Shawn), Alanna MacKinnon (Mike), Hunter Newson and Addison Newson, great-grandchild Cohen Harvey and expected great-grandchild; sisters - Mary Bellefleur (Bill - deceased), Pat Gallant and Debi Gallant; brothers - Wayne Gallant, Frank Gallant (Rosita) and George Gallant. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anita (nee Murray), second wife, Sue (nee Power), parents, Vincent and Rose (nee McCarron) Gallant and brother, Jack Gallant. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 6 - 9 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Birthright would be appreciated. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of the Oncology Department and Unit 2 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their care and support during this difficult time.
