Sincere condolences to Shirley’s family. I met Shirley over 50 years ago when we sang with Mrs Douglas’ TeaHill Choristers and we continued to sing together the past 25 years in the Stratford Community Choir . And Shane knew Blake as he visited the Water Prince Corner Shop for business and pleasure . We are currently in Florida until Dec 2 so will miss the funeral but our thoughts and prayers are with the family, for courage and strength now and in the days ahead

my heart is heavy with your grieving. Shirley was, in so many ways, a gift to all of us. i so enjoyed her presence in the yoga classes i led; i think 14 years she attended classes with me, and this gave me opportunity to occasionally meet other members of her family. i loved her gardening stories and her gardening feet! oh, and how she whipped her car into the parking lot! i loved her joyful, amused laugh, her strong, tall posture, and her dedication to her healthful aging. being only a year older than my own mother, she served as a role model to me. i am so grateful to have known her and to so often have shared practice space with her. this photo of her, in strong, possessed Warrior II pose is how i hold her forever in my heart. her goodness shall continue on through everyone she touched.
it was a beautiful service. i am so glad i could attend and witness more of the beautiful life Shirley lived through some of the many people she touched.

The members of the Mayflower Seniors Club would like to extend our condolences to the Woods family on the death of Shirley. She was a life time member of the club and she will be missed by many in our club. When we started our games afternoon Shirley would like to play scrabble and was hard to beat. Rest In peace Shirley.

My deepest condolences to Shirley’s family! Shirley and I were friends for 70+ years. We were Lab techs together, boarded together, married the same year . She sang at my wedding and at my mother’s funeral. We sang in the Confederation choir, yoga classes, on and on. So many happy memories over the years. My husband I moved back to PEI in 1996 and our friendship continued as if we had never left. Shirley, I miss you. Our phone calls and little visits . Giggles over memories of fun times together. Rest in peace dear friend!

Our sincere condolences to the family of Shirley Wood. My sister and I grew up with her children and we lived just down the road from the family. My fondest memory of Shirley was her caramel popcorn balls at Halloween. My best friend Bonnie Jenkins (deceased) and myself would walk that long lane for our favorite treat. "When it was one set of foot prints you saw, it was then that I carried you".
