The Koughan Family: Clancey and I are saddened to hear of Bernie's passing. She was a lovely lady who was always happy to see you and have a chat. Clancey spent a good number of evenings with Bill and Bernie when she began playing fiddle. She was very fond of them both. When I would go pick her up, Bernie and Bill always insisted on putting on the teapot. We are very grateful for their kindness, their welcoming us into their home, and their friendship. She will certainly be missed by her family, her community, and her church. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Safely home! Fondly, Suzanne and Clancey Beagan

My sincere condolences to the whole family. I have many great memories of Bernie. A wonderful friend and a great person. I had the great privilege of visiting her a couple of weeks ago and by the beautiful smile on her face when I hugged her, I think she knew me. What a wonderful lady.
