Obituary of Leland George Kinney

Passed peacefully Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Leland Kinney of Charlottetown, age 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Kinney (nee Coubrough), loving father of Bill Kinney (Janet), Glen Kinney (Joanne) and Shirley Ramsay. Leland will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren - Melinda Stead, Stewart, Kandice, B.J., Nicholas, Morgan and Lindsay Ramsay, Jodi, Alysha and Victoria Kinney; great grandchildren Ella and Zachary Stead, Kannon and Leah Burrows and Evan Waye; and special friend Olga Corrigan. He was predeceased by his parents David and Myrtle (nee Wright) Kinney, brother - Lester Kinney, sister - Beula Giberson, grandsons - Mark Kinney and Brett Kinney and granddaughters - Joan Kinney and Joanne Kinney. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6 - 9 PM. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
