I was shocked to hear of Blair's passing. I remember Blair as a fellow student at Fort Augustus Consolidated School. He was one of the best looking guys in school and one of the coolest. He was also a very good basketball player. My condolences to the whole family. Rest in Peace Blair.

My sincere Condolences to The Kelly family on the passing of Blair! He sure was a free spirit. Having known him since my early days at Fort Augustus School, I feel like I've known him most of my life. As some of you know, (or remember) we had some great times on Hensley Street., especially after the fire that took his little house down the street from me. We had some really fun times as he tried to get the house back in order and purchase it. (the owner did not want to sell.) He was so proud of the little place he built in Watervale. He was a great neighbor, and always willing to give a helping hand to anyone on the street, and from what I hear to his neighbors in Watervale too! He will be missed by many., but be assured his free spirit lives on and he will be guilding onward. God Bless you all.

Sending condolences to all Blair's family and friends. He was our neighbor for many years and we loved him. He was one of the first to come to our door when we moved to the community and he was one of those people who made you comfortable to be around right from the start. He also brightened our day when he would come to shop at Sobey's in Stratford..always kidding around and flirting with the girls. You will definitely be missed Blair and my heart hurts to know you are gone. God bless!!

Sending my sympathy and prayers on the loss of your beloved Blair! May he rest in peace! I remember Blair coming up to our farm in Pisquid on his bike and asked if I would pick him a couple boxes of berries! I had just gotten down from the fields and I said here are two boxes, you pick em and you can have them! He looked at me and I said ok let’s go get them!. Obviously he hated picking berries!! He will be so missed! Thinking of you all!

We wish to extend our sincere sympathy to all of Blair’s Family, with his sudden passing. Blair first worked for us back in 1977, when we opened our Construction business. I remember him being dropped off at our place, and his two little children in his vehicle, waving good-bye to him. He was very proud of his children. In recent years, he worked on the construction of our new home in Uigg. On one particular day, he arrived at work, sporting a new hat. He was grinning from ear to ear, and pointed to the name on his hat. Apparently he had been at a yard sale on the weekend, and had seen this hat that had R. Ian MacLeod Construction on it, which was the name of our company. I am including a picture of him wearing this hat, on that particular day. He was a great worker, and loved to chat on just about any topic. He loved to read, and had a wealth of information to share. Blair will be missed by all who knew him. May he Rest In Peace.

Our most heartfelt sympathies to all of Blair's family. If only we all held the joy in our hearts and lives that Blair held, our world would be a much better place. Blair definitely lived on his own terms and swam against the tide. I saw Blair at the Petro Can in Stratford a few times last winter while getting gas and it was always "Hiya Cuz" with a big smile and a friendly chat. Blair's pride and joy in being a father and a grand paw was a true reflection of his being. He absolutely radiated when he was with or spoke of his kids and grandkids. Many beautiful and happy memories provide consolation during this difficult and sad time for you. Rest in Joy and Peace Blair.

I only really knew Blair when he was a teenager...but even then I always thought he was an "Old Soul ".
He would have been very comfortable if you had placed him in a time machine and dropped him into a pub in County Derry a few hundred years ago.
I only saw him a few times in the past 50 years ago, but was easy to see he was still an Old Soul.
Rest in peace
Condolences to Blair's family.

Blair was always so friendly. I remember visiting PEI in the '70s and Blair had broken his leg. Although he was in a cast , he made a point of hobbling over to speak to me. Deepest sympathy to his family.

Deepest sympathy to Blair's family and friends. We could all use some of Blair's joie de vivre . No worries about trends or fitting in . Living each day as it comes and wringing every ounce of fun out of it . Forging your own path whether it be straight or winding . Helping your neighbour. If we were all just a little more like Blair what a wonderful world this would be . Shine on you crazy diamond .

My deepest sympathy to Blair’s beloved family. It is not too long ago that we had a great chat at the postoffice. I will always remember, every time I saw Blair before Mom passed away, he always asked “how is your Mom”. Rest in peace, Blair. I will miss running into you, here and there, and having a laugh with you. Edna (Brazel) Reid

First time i saw Blair he was on his tractor on the Hillsborough bridge heading into Charlottetown . I was awe struck by this man . I thought to myself , firstly wtf ?.. As i thought of him later i realized that i had just seen a man that beat his own drum , and looked damn happy on that tractor.. Later , as my life changed , i became friends with his Sister Karen. We are partners now , and i got to meet Blair in real time . Christmas time , Blair would show up with books , and poetry that he had read and written . I became friends with him and admired his aspirations in life . Imagine if you would living without electricity in todays world .. Blair did that !...Imagine tearing down a big tractor , and putting it back on the road ....Imagine a man living on his own , and his own terms . That was Blair.... I'm gonna miss you big guy .. Go rest high ....
