Obituary of Doug Wood

Henry Douglas “Doug” Wood of Charlottetown passed away with family by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday July 6, 2024 at the age of 86 years. Loving husband of Betty (Reilly) and dear father of Michele Wood, Geoff Wood (Judy), Wade White (Abby) and James Scott White (Suzanne). Grandfather of Connor White, Benjamin, Emma, Olivia, Sophie Wheeler and Norah White. Brother of Maurice (Joan). Brother-in-law of Karen Wood, Carol Rydinsky and Judy Reilly. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Lois (Mutch) Wood, his brothers Winston (Marguerite) and David; sister Jean Walker (Donald) and brother-in-law Bill Reilly. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. A funeral service will be held from St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, Charlottetown on Tuesday at 10:30 am. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery. No visiting hours by personal request. Memorial donations may be made online to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church.
