Obituary of Katie Compton

Peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones at her family home in South Pinette, PEI on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 the death occurred of Katie Ann Compton of Vancouver, formerly of Prince Edward Island, age 42 years. 

Beloved wife of Alex Farber. Dear sweet daughter of Russ and the Hon. Darlene Compton (MacRae) and daughter-in-law of Alan Farber of Vancouver. Best friend and sister of Glen (Carolyn). Auntie of Rory. Sister-in-law of Jessica Folk-Farber (Les) and Kyra Folk-Farber (Ori). Katie will be remembered with love and dearly missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Predeceased by her infant sister Christina Karen Compton and grandparents Russell and Ky (MacKenzie) Compton, Roderick and Christine (Coulson) MacRae and also by her mother-in-law Felicia Folk.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 2-5 pm. 

A Celebration of Katie’s life will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the Haviland Club from 6-9 pm.

Interment will take place later at Belle River Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made online to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Belle River Cemetery.
