Obituary of Charlie MacKenzie

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by his family on Friday, December 22, 2023, the death occurred of Charles “Charlie” Hector MacKenzie of Cornwall, age 86 years.  

Beloved husband of Joyce MacKenzie - McKearney (Waddell). Loving father of Rosa MacKenzie (Phillip), Lisa Hawkes (Tony) and Shannon MacKenzie (Shari). Step-father of Debbie MacArthur (Carl), Donald McKearney (Dale), Carol Henry (Dave), Peter McKearney (Carol) and Allan McKearney (Sharon). Fondly remembered by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charlie will be missed by his siblings James, Marion MacLean, and Barbara MacKenzie. Brother-in-law of Don Livingstone, Elmer Waddell (Beverley), Flora Fall and Joanne MacInnis (Troy). Predeceased by his first wife Marjorie Livingstone, infant daughter Shirley Anne, his sister Georgina Gallant (Reggie), sister-in-law Marguerite MacKenzie and brothers-in-law Kenneth MacLean, John MacKay and Fred Fall.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 4-6pm.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 1:30 pm. 

Interment will take place at Crapaud Gospel Hall Cemetery. 

Memorial donations may be made online to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
