Obituary of Margaret Helen Edmonds

Passed peacefully Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge of Margaret Edmonds of Iona, age 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Edmonds, loving mother of Mary Edmonds, James Edmonds (Marlene), Emanuel Edmonds (Barb), Merlin Edmonds, Julien Edmonds (Rita), Eileen Abbott (Bruce), John Edmonds (Darlene) and Joseph Edmonds (Line). Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and her sister Genervieve Durocher. She was predeceased by her parents James and Bridge O’Brien (nee Brennick), brother, Michael O’Brien and sisters - Mary Peters, Anne McTague and Catherine Flynn. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Friday, September 4, 2015 from 6-8 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. Michael's Church, Iona at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. The CWL will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 5:30 PM. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Michael’s Cemetery would be appreciated.
