Obituary of Mike Murnaghan

Suddenly at Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown on Sunday, October 29, 2023 the death occurred of Michael “Mike” Gerard Murnaghan of Stratford, formerly of Tarantum PEI, age 70 years.  

Married 49 years, Mike was a caring and devoted husband to his beloved Imelda (nee Flynn).  A loving father of John (Jennifer) and a cherished grandfather of Carly.  Mike will be dearly missed by his brother Vince and sister-in-law Gloria.  Predeceased by his parents Melvin and Florence (Curran) Murnaghan and his foster brother Joseph “Big Joe” Gallant. 

Conscientious and dedicated, Mike worked for many years in the janitorial service industry for several companies in the Stratford and Charlottetown area.  Mike will be missed and remembered by many in the community. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 4-7 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus on Friday at 10:30 am.    Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
