Obituary of Sanford Patrick Roach

Peacefully at The Mount Continuing Care Community on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 the death occurred of Sanford Patrick Roach of Charlottetown, age 99 years.  Sanford will be missed by his sister Muriel Martin and by his sister-in-law Aurore Arsenault. Fondly remembered by nieces Carol Roach and Heather Martin; nephews Doug, David, Allan, Kenneth, Ronnie, Roger, Donnie, Frank, Chris and Geoff Martin; by their spouses and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Predeceased by his parents Sanford and Loretta (MacAulay) Roach, his beloved wife of 51 years Louise Marie Roach (Arsenault); siblings Leo (Catherine) and Jean; brothers-in-law Melvin Martin and Fidele Arsenault; niece Melanie MacDonald and by the extended Arsenault family.  Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 3-5 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10:30 am. Interment will take place at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Sanford’s family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Hilltop View nursing floor at the Mount Continuing Care Community and also to the staff of the Burnside Community Care where Sanford and Louise lived prior to entering The Mount.
