Obituary of Mike Harman

Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Monday, August 3, 2026, the death occurred of John Michael “Mike” Powell Harman of Village Green, age 70 years.  

Loving father of Alex (Joanna), Jason, Jordan and Samantha (Josh). Cherished grandfather of Nora. Mike will be missed by siblings Elizabeth McCaw (Tom), Sheila MacGillivray (Shawn), Krystal Clarkin (Derek) and Keith Spears. Fondly remembered by his mother Doreen Pasher; nieces and nephews Becky, Jessie, Nicole, Katlyn, Kyle, Kurtis, Kaleesha, and Kyla. Predeceased by his parents John "Jack" Harman and Mary Spears (Keith); siblings Carol, Bobby, Philip, Garth "Rick", David, Doug and Sharon. Forever loved and missed by his 2nd family, The Scotts: friends that became more than family bringing joy, happiness, and endless memories into his life. Honourary Scott in life and in death. Forever remembered by Gord, Sharon, Charmaine, Jennifer, Donny, Nancy, Marcy, Greg, Dee, Fergie, Cody, Cheyenne(Wes), Jesse (Tori), Carson, Daniel, Halle and Maggie.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5-7 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and the interment will take place later at the Birch Hill Cemetery, Mt. Albion.
