Obituary of Dwayne Douglas Williams
Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Monday, July 27, 2026 the death occurred of Dwayne Douglas Williams of Cornwall and formerly of Oshawa Ontario, age 58 years. Beloved husband of 12 years to Carrie Williams (Rolfe). Loving dad of Owen. They spent many family nights talking and watching hockey. Their poker nights were especially important while cracking his “bad dad” jokes. Dwayne was so proud to get to see Owen graduate and treatment wasn't going to stop him from attending. He worked many years at the Cavendish Tourist Mart spending long hours with his brother Don, the staff and the summer students who he made a big impact on. They spent hours talking about hockey, especially the Leafs. He never got tired talking about “Those Leafs”. They were his greatest passion. Dwayne was the youngest of his siblings David (Debbie), Shirley Parsons (Scott) and Donald (Kimberley). Dwayne was the son-in-law to Allan and Shirley Anne Rolfe whom they loved like a son and he will be dearly missed. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents David and Anne (McClennan) Williams and by his sister Darlene Neil (Cliff). Dwayne was very fond of his cats Bauer and Luna. If you are fortunate enough to meet and know Dwayne you would soon realize he was one of a kind. Dwayne is in the care of Hillsboro Funeral Home. Private family services will be held. Interment in St. Augustine's Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to Children's Wish Foundation. We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Cancer Treatment Center of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, his doctors Dr. Paul Phalen, Dr. John Coutreau; the Provincial Palliative Care Centre for the care he received these most recent days. A very special mention to the Home Care Team for the love and support that enabled him to be at home as long as possible.
