I met Eli at OIART last year. Eli was one of the few people who made going to OIART consistently fun and enjoyable. He was always smiling and always had some good jokes on hand. I don’t know if there was a time that year I didn’t see him smiling and laughing. His positivity was something I greatly appreciated about him too, truly contagious.

Eli never stopped smiling, like I actually can’t remember a single moment where he didn’t have that goofy grin plastered across his face. I think everyone at OIART can agree that no matter who you were - friend, classmate or acquaintance - one thing we will all remember is that smile that would light up every room. I hope that this lasting, collective memory of him brings his family comfort.

Eli was as fun as he was boisterous. You always knew he was in a room because the volume levels would rise a decibel or two. An absolute delight to be around and an amazing friend who I almost always saw smiling. One of the most genuine compliments I got came from him, where in passing he said I “…was one of the funniest people he’s ever met”. I wish he had the opportunity to meet himself. To say he will be missed is an understatement. This news is heartbreaking. Condolences to the Eli’s family. He will be remembered as a fun, jovial guy.

The news struck me. I met Eli at OIART and I was so lucky to have met him. He had so much humor, yet so much depth and kindness underneath that. He was one of the people that made my experience at OIART unforgettable, and I know the same rings true for many others. I give my deepest condolences to his family.

Sending my deepest condolences to Eli’s family and friends in PEI. I met Eli at OIART. He was such a joy to work with. He had such a passion for audio and was a beacon of positivity wherever he went. He was the kind of person you were always excited to see on a job, because you knew it was going to be a great day. Eli left a big impact on all of us at school. He spoke about how much he loved his family and friends back home in PEI, and how important they were to him. We are thinking of you here in Ontario and remembering Eli with great fondness.

Eli was one of the two friends I've known since day one of school, way back in kindergarten. I'm proud to say we were friends for well over 15 years. He inspired me to work with computer tech, he later introduced me to the world of music production, and he really opened up avenues in my world that otherwise I may never have followed. In all my time knowing him, he was always an upbeat and relaxed friend, who really got in the zone for what he was passionate about. Forever and always, a piece of him will be in my heart. I'll miss him bad, but I know he's always gonna be right by my side for my life's journey as well. I can't possibly describe in just a few paragraphs how honored I am to have had him in my life for so long.
I don't have a whole lot of photos with Eli, just some of him. But the one I do have of us together, courtesy of our friend Nicholas, is of our Stonepark Graduation over the 2020 lockdown. We got to stand as three beneath the archway... Or well, most of us were above it! We were all pretty tall even back then. Got a picture of him from 2019 Halloween with us as well, and I also have a photo of a bunch of us more recently at Beer Garden, when we all went out after Mango Fest 2, which Eli did the sound operation for!
My condolences to every member of the family, I'll always have them in my thoughts and wish the best for them. Growing up, Eli's home always felt like a second home to me, and it always will.

I knew Eli through middle school and highschool and really respected him as someone who wasnt afraid to admit when he was wrong and grow as a person which was so impresive when we were all so young.
I ran into him on January 10th where he was doing the sound for a show that was going on at Beaconsfield. When he saw me he smiled and came over and was genuinely excited to see me and to talk about how our lives were going and what we had been up to since highschool. He was such a positive person to be around and even just that short conversation with him made me feel lifted up.
I am so sorry for everyone dealing with this substantial loss. Eli was truly a becon of light and he will be missed. I send all my love to everyone in his life.

So many great photos and loving memories, but this is one of my favorites. It is an “oldie.” Walking on the beach and I glanced over and Eli was reaching for Anthony’s hand. You can see the love in his eyes. Those beautiful caring eyes. Anthony has many amazing memories with our cousins at our PEI home. Eli has always been kind, caring and considerate. Always looking out for his family and friends. You hold a very special place in our hearts and always will.
Love You❤️

Eli was always such a bright and creative person. From when I met him in Kindergarden, till our last conversation, he never failed to keep spirits high, give people a good laugh and stay true to himself. He will be missed by so many, and I am forever thankful that I was able to grow up with such an amazing person. Enjoy this lovely photo he left on my phone when we finished Grade 6 that always makes me laugh. Rest in peace Eli.
