I first met Barry when he became the inter-school courier man for the Public School Board. I work as Admin Assistant at Colonel Gray High School. Barry was always friendly, chatty, kind and patient, as he waited for our courier bag to be prepared. On days when we'd have it all ready in advance, he was extra grateful and quick to praise us. Barry was never rattled and quick to smile, especially with his shining eyes. I then met Bev on the craft fair circuit, selling antique jewelry at the Civic Centre Christmas Craft Fair. Barry was the devoted husband right by your side. He was quick to say you were the expert, and he was just there to help with set up, washroom breaks, and the runner for food during the long hours. Barry also loved to talk and would shine when familiar people stopped by the booth. I bought some antique jewelry that I continue to treasure, along with having known a small part of Barry's life. May you hear many stories shared over these sad and difficult days that can only add to your treasured memories of his life.

Dearest Bev and family
I was saddened to hear of Barry's passing . I have fond childhood memories of snowmobiling with Dad and Barry and going with Dad to visit him in your garage.
I remember the antique pop machine such a treat !
I remember you both as being very kind and gentle souls.
I know Dad ( Clary) thought of Barry almost like the son he never had . Dad I know d will be one of the first there to greet him with welcoming arms.
May you each find strength in the wonderful memories that you created over the many years together.
Sending love, healing thoughts and prayers.
RIP dear Barry

Dear Bev and family. Myself(Kimberley Gillis) And my fiance(Martin Warren) send our sincere condolences on Barry's passing. He and my father were great friends for many years. I remember the pop machine he had and if Dad was going over to see Barry for whatever reason, either by snowmobile or car, well I was going with him. I could taste the Lime Rickey that I knew I would get for a treat. I could go on with more fond memories but the Lime Rickey memory is my fondest. With Martin being a courier for MacInnis Express, he crossed Barry's path on a weekly basis. They always had a smile and friendly Hello for each other...Even though Martin was part of the competition. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. May the many memories you have of him sustain you through this difficult time. He was also an Amateur Radio Operator, as was my dad. 73 Barry. May you rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear of Barry’s passing. I first met Berry when he was working with the Guardian newspaper. He taught me the advertising ropes, was so great to deal with and I looked forward to him dropping by. My favourite Barry memories were when Bev and Barry came to our Nortons Christmas parties and Bev always caught Barry under the mistletoe to show their love. The sight of these youngsters in love made the night.
Bev, please accept Susan and my deepest condolences to you and your family.
