Obituary of Rosita Maria Gallant

Peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, May 23, 2026 the death occurred of Rosita Maria Gallant (Mohammed) of Stratford, age 85 years.  

Loving mother of Renee Gallant, Jason (Kimberly), Michael and Jonathan (Jessica).  Cherished grandmother of Samuel, Olivia, Mya, Feury, Cohen and Will.  Rosita will be missed by her siblings Nilly Baggoo, Selma Aleung, Mansoor “Bunny” Mohammed, Michael Mohammed and Esau Mohammed. Predeceased by her parents Rahiman and Jit Mohammed and by her husband Frank Gallant and by her siblings Armin, Boysie, Wolsey, Cassim “Benjo”, Russell and Freddie “Sunny” Mohammed.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 2 - 4 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 10:30 am.  Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.

The Funeral Mass will be available for viewing following the service.
