Obituary of Heartz Godkin

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by the love of his family and friends on Saturday May 16, 2026 at Andrews of Stratford of H. Heartz Godkin of Stratford, age of 79 years.

Heartz is survived by his wife Della (McAskill), son Ben, daughters Tara Parsons (Jamie) and Susanne Arsenault and by his brother Robert (Paddy, deceased). Grandfather of Kyle, Dylan, Lucas, Madison, Della Jade, Isabell and Cole. Great-grandfather of Blair and Celeste. Fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Predeceased by his parents H. Heartz Sr. and Irene (Wells) Godkin and by his brothers Al and Kendal.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 10 am. Visiting hours on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 3-5 pm. The funeral video will be available for viewing following the service.

Interment in St. Bonaventure’s Church Cemetery, Tracadie.
