Obituary of Douglas Alton Green

After a long illness, the death occurred peacefully with family and friends by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 of Douglas Alton Green, aged 67 years, of Charlottetown.  

Doug's life wasn't without struggles, but through the hardships he maintained his love for 3 things; baking, gardening and singing.  At Christmas, everyone would enjoy his homemade fudge, in the summer his flowerbeds were always in bloom, and throughout the year Doug would be found singing in the choir on numerous occasions.

Son of Alton (deceased) and Prue (Weatherbie) Green, brother to Ron Green (Wanda), and uncle of Trevor Green and Mark Green (Katy).  He is also survived by his aunts Helen Keating, Betty Grant (John, deceased), Janet Green and Vaunda Dollar (Fred, deceased), as well as numerous cousins.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home.  No visitation by request. A celebration of life  service will be held from West River United Church on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 11:00 am.  Interment will take place at the Kingston Cemetery.
