Obituary of Mary Nunila Edmonds RN

Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 19, 2026, the death occurred of Mary Nunila Edmonds of Iona, age 80 years.  

 

Beloved sister of James (Marlene), Emanuel (Barb, predeceased), Merlin, Julian (Rita), Eileen Abbott (Bruce), John (Darlene) and Joseph (Line).  Mary will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret (O`Brien) Edmonds. 

 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home.  By personal request there will be no visiting hours. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 3:00 pm from St.Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Iona PEI.  Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to the PEI Alzheimer’s Society or St. Michael’s Parish, Iona.

 

Mary's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of the Perrins Marina Villa and the staff of the Kings County Memorial Hospital for their care and attention shown to Mary during these last years.
